The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:
D.E. Mullins rode Any Chance (reserve) trained by Cian Hughes (Race 3).T. Power Roche replaced L. Quinlan on Nashville Notions, trained by Paul Stephen Kiely (Race 5)(unwell).
D.E. Mullins replaced C.M. Quirke on La Tulipe Noire, trained by Aengus King (Race 4)(stood down).
126A Wexford Racecourse (Mares) M'dn H'dle
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Scathach, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.G. Whelan, rider of Dromana Mist, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D.G. Whelan was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g (excessive frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for three racedays.
126B Forth Mountain Trails (M) H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Two Pair, trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have lost a right hind shoe but was otherwise post race normal.
E. Finegan, rider of Roxhill Roise, trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly off the track.
126C1 Slaney River H'cap H'dleMr J.L. Gleeson, rider of Liberated Light, trained by John E. & Thomas Kiely, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
T. Power Roche, rider of Young And Foolish, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped poorly and never travelled.
126C2 Slaney River H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fedneys Park, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
126D Ambrex Switchgear H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards granted a request from Matthew J. Smith, trainer of Aine's Lad, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official as per the provisions of Rule 90(i). Subsequently, Aine's Lad failed to present for identification and was therefore withdrawn by order of the Raceday Stewards.
Mr. C.J. Sweeney Stipendiary Steward, recused himself from all deliberations for this race.
126F Treo Eile H'cap SchaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tell Nobody Nothin, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Plain Or Battered, trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
L.A. McKenna, rider of Riggs, trained by P.Cluskey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount felt wrong behind and pulled up. Subsequently the IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Riggs and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the run down the hill on the first circuit, where it appeared Sense The Tension, ridden by Michael Kenneally, shifted left into the racing line of Hit The Frame (GB), ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, causing him to clip a heel. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
